ACTIVITIES AND EXCURSIONS

There are so many things they can do and experience right here in the area

WATER SPORTS

Stand-up paddleboarding, canoeing, taking a boat ride, fishing, or just going for a swim at the Treenebad.

ISLETS AND ISLANDS

Take the ferry to Amrum and Föhr, as well as to the Halligen islands of Hooge, or hike across the mudflats to Langeneß.

 

These are wonderful day trips.

BIKE TOURS

There are plenty of destinations for both beginners and experienced cycling enthusiasts. The open spaces, the wind, and the clouds are magical here.

ST. PETER ORDING

The wide beach is perfect for short or endless walks, windsurfing, flying kites, or simply sunbathing.

ALSO IN TOWN

A guided city tour, a museum, five churches, no traffic lights, ducks, ice cream shops, cafés, small shops, and plenty of fish sandwiches can all be found around the historic market square. 

HUSUM, PORT CITY

20 minutes away: Husum, with its historic harbor, castle, and the charm of Theodor Storm’s hometown—perfect for strolling, enjoying seafood delicacies, or catching a movie on a rainy day.
