6-DAY BREAK
A short break for more peace, resilience and connection
SPACE AND TIME
With our 6-day break, we want to create a framework in which one can take a break from everyday life for a few days.
No elaborate plans, no expectations – just peace, nature, and the wonderful feeling of simply being able to be for a while. Often, it doesn't take much: the vast northern skies, a stroll through Friedrichstadt, time in the garden, and moments when nothing needs to be done. A short break to breathe, recharge, and reconnect with yourself.

RELAX AND WELL
This idea arose from the many wonderful conversations we had at our long table under the apple tree.
This tranquil place has something special about it: people arrive, take a deep breath, and strike up conversations – completely spontaneously. Anything is possible, nothing is obligatory. Perhaps this is exactly how what we often long for in everyday life arises: a feeling of connection. With ourselves, with nature, and sometimes with others. Come for the North Sea. Stay for the apple tree.

ANYTHING IS ALLOWED, NOTHING IS MANDATORY
After breakfast there is time for whatever you want to be and experience.
Strolls through Friedrichstadt or along the Treene River. A trip to Husum, the Hallig islands, or one of the other islands. Or simply time in the garden – for a good book, a free-flowing thought, or that project that's been waiting far too long for attention. We'll be back for you in the afternoon. Perhaps with a freshly baked cake, perhaps with a cup of tea or coffee in hand. A light vegetarian meal awaits you in the early evening. And if the weather cooperates, we'll enjoy the last rays of sunshine in the garden as the day slowly draws to a close.

SAFE LANDING
It is important to us that these days feel comfortable and that we offer you a friendly, safe environment.
Whether it's tips for excursions, a recommendation for a lovely walk, or simply a cup of tea that arrives at your table at just the right moment – we're there, attentive and approachable, without being intrusive. A sense of community is welcome here, but it's not required. Those who wish to connect will find it. Those seeking peace and quiet are just as welcome to have it. Perhaps it's precisely this feeling that makes a break so special: being welcomed, well cared for, and yet completely free.

ALONE OR ACCOMPANIED
Our time out can be as individual as the people who come to us.
Guests traveling together can book our double rooms at special rates, while solo travelers can enjoy the soothing peace and quiet of their own room. And perhaps therein lies something wonderful: spending six days in the same place, seeing familiar faces again, and meeting people who were initially strangers – and with whom you might end up laughing at the breakfast table or taking a trip to the seaside. Anything is possible, nothing is obligatory. Encounters are welcome. So is peace and quiet.
LOOKING AHEAD
From 2027 onwards, we would like to combine individual time-out weeks with special themes.
For example, we could offer weeks focused on Ayurvedic nutrition, yoga, painting, personal development, or other inspiring topics that benefit body, mind, and soul. We're still in the planning stages and welcome your ideas. If you'd like to be informed about new offerings or have suggestions for future topics, please send us a message or subscribe to our newsletter. Perhaps we can create something truly wonderful together.
